Pony (U6-U9) – 5v5 with no goalies

New for Fall 2024 – Our Fall Pony Season is divided into a Junior (U6-U7) and Senior (U8-U9) Pony League.

Pony focuses on fun and skill development so players are ready for the next level.

Junior Pony U6/U7: Increased focus on ball control including dribbling and passing with skill building drills and game-based activities. Players are introduced to small-sided game play. Teamwork and decision-making are an important focus at this level.

This ten-week program that runs from September to November every year. All play is held locally in the Oceanside area with one training session on Wednesday evenings and games on Saturday mornings.  There is a season end tournament the last two Saturdays in November. 

Senior Pony U8/U9: All basic skills of ball control such as dribbling, passing, and shooting are practiced and developed. The primary components are game-based activities and drills that incorporate skill development and increased focus on small-sided game play. Goalie training is available to participants at this level.

This program will run from September until March with a break for Winter from mid-December until mid-January.
