Oceanside FC strives to offer its members a pathway to more competitive soccer opportunities. Oceanside FC’s Tier 3 Rep Program is the first step on that journey.
Competitive teams begin at the U12 age group and play in the Pacific Development League against other Upper Island Soccer Association (UISA) member soccer clubs.
Oceanside completes an expression of interest and evaluations take place in the spring in preparation for the fall season.
Selected players have the opportunity to compete at a higher level. They will delve deeper into their technical game, fine-tuning pre-existing skill and are challenged to improve week by week. Tactical aspects are stressed in a competitive but supportive training environment. The goal at this stage is to move players along through the Long-Term Development Plan prescribed by Canada Soccer.
The regular season runs from September through March. Games are played in Upper Island communities; Campbell River, the Comox Valley, Ladysmith, Nanaimo, Qualicum/Parksville, Port Alberni and Powell River. Teams practice on Tuesday and Thursday evenings and will compete in one game per week on Sundays.
