Oceanside FC takes pride in our referees.
Many of the referees are young members of our community. We have a responsibility to set a positive example and demonstrate leadership and appropriate behavior.
Oceanside FC has a Zero Tolerance policy toward the harassment and abuse of Referees.
Most of our referees are less than 16 years old. They have taken it upon themselves to get training and spend their weekends helping us run our league. Without them, we cannot host games with other clubs.
Our Pony League is very fortunate to have referees this season. They are not required for this level of play. Oceanside FC wants to help build their confidence and skills. The referees at Parksville Community Park are getting experience and learning how to become more confident in their role.
Please show your support to our Referees and Assistant Referees. Treat them the way you would want your own teenage child treated if they were taking on this challenging task.
