Thank you to all of our members who are joining us walking in the Canada Day Parade on Wednesday!
A few reminders for participants:
SAFETY GUIDELINES DURING PARADE
- Follow Directions: Always listen to parade marshals, City staff, and traffic control personnel —they are there to help keep everyone safe and organized.
- No Stopping: Keep moving forward at a steady pace; avoid stopping along the route unless directed.
- Spacing: Maintain a safe and consistent distance (approx. 20-30 feet) between your group and the one ahead of you.
- Supervision: Ensure children are supervised at all times.
- No Throwing Objects: For safety reasons, do not throw items (e.g., candy) into the crowd—hand them out instead.
- Vehicle Safety: Drivers must proceed slowly and remain alert. No riders are permitted outside designated safe areas on floats.
- Emergency Access: Keep the route clear for emergency personnel at all times.
- Weather Preparedness: Dress appropriately for the weather. Stay hydrated and wear sunscreen if needed.

- Parade participants will no longer travel up Craig Street.
- Anyone walking with a float/vehicle will disperse along HARRISON AVENUE. Move off the street onto the sidewalks as quickly as possible.
